Brendan Rodgers makes two changes to the Celtic side that beat Feyenoord on Wednesday for today’s match with Hearts.

Stephen Welsh makes way for the return of Cameron Carter-Vickers with David Turnbull replacing the injured Tomoki Iwata in midfield.

Despite being back in the squad for the first time since the start of November Daizen Maeda has to settle for a place on the bench.

Gus Lagerbielke and Nat Phillips drop out the matchday squad with Kwon Hyeok-kyu, signed in the summer and still to make a competitive appearance, listed as one of the substitutes.

Hearts come into the match in fourth place but on the back of a late 2-1 defeat last Saturday away to Aberdeen.

Kevin Clancy will referee today’s match, his first Celtic appointment since the 3-1 win away to Aberdeen in August.

CELTIC: Hart; A Johnston, Carter-Vickers, Scales, Taylor; McGregor, O’Riley, Turnbull; Palma, Kyogo, M Johnston

SUBS: Bain, Oh, Kwon, Bernabei, Bernardo, Maeda, Forrest, Ralston, Welsh

This is a dreadful performance – what is going on at our club? I’ve not heard such a quiet atmosphere for a very long time and the players are looking lost?
When was the last time we lost two league games in a row? Really concerning the way we are performing, totally lacking in conviction and inspiration.
Are we trying to give this league away?
