There was a very familiar theme to yesterday’s match. Philippe Clement’s team go behind, toil a bit then get the rub of the blue with a decision that no other team in the league gets to turn the match their way.

Normally the favour is paid after the 85th minute, yesterday it came midway through the first half as Kevin Clancy and Steven Kirkland teamed up better than any other combination on the park.

Recognising these patterns more and more punters are cashing in. Bets involving a penalty being awarded and James Tavernier scoring are becoming very popular, one fan even pays his leccy bill every month with the winnings.

While the SFA sit back smugly nodding at what they are witnessing bookmakers might start to realise that they are the victims.

As soon as unusual betting patterns emerge they tend to cry foul. The amount of bets being placed on penalties being awarded in matches involving the Ibrox Tribute Act must stand out a mile compared to other high profile matches in the EPL.

On Thursday a non-Scottish referee will be in charge of the Europa League tie away to Real Betis.

Used to bet first goal a penalty in Sevco games last couple of seasons at 10/1, that option isn’t even available anymore.
The odds of penalties in Sevco games are way below that of any other team in the UK never mind Scotland.

Get your man across the water to get hold of a contact of his at Paddy Power to run with one of their comedy piss take adverts on the penalties awarded to sevco, and Paddy Power put it out there they don’t accept bets on sevco getting penalties.
THAT WOULD SOON HIGHLIGHT IT,then other bookmakers will follow their lead.

So True . Another problem is, too many huns manage other teams in the league and never really complaine about bad decisions when sevco are involved, but if a decision goes our way the fuckers are up in arms about it. BAMPOTS

Just read the article online that Michael Gannon wrote in the daily sevco what an absolute BANGER of a so called journalist.
He has ripped our squad to shred everyone of them left without a name with all the summer signings as flops, but not a mention of the nickel&dime team put together over at ibrox throughout the summer.

It’s not just the the whole penalty for and against issue, that everyone can see is just not right! It’s also the marginal calls that give out a helping hand to them. Like when we get a free kick in a dangerous area, the wall seems to get set up 7yards back. In our last game, I watched the ref pace it out then bend down, lean back and mark where wall should be ,wtf!!! How hard would I be to install a distance reader in the wee foam marker thingy they use, to make sure the distance is correct and fair fro everyone…. Oh!!!

Caught the sevco highlights: the penalty award was indeed ‘strange’.

In real time, nothing happened for anyone to complain about.

The ref Clancy had nothing to whistle for.

But then the VAR official decided to ‘ref’ the game instead.

At the time of the ‘shirt pul’ the reaction of the players was very telling:

    there was NO reaction.

ALL the sevco players played on – nobody held a hand up to complain –

nobody hesitated – the game continued.

I thought VAR was there to assist the ref, not ref the game?

Maybe it will take an ‘unintended consequence’ to force this penalty scandal?

What if sevco win the LC by a dodgy TavPen?

What if sevco wins the derby game by a dodgy TavPen?

What if opposition fans – at any sevco game – lose the rag at the dodgy officiating?

That is a real risk, IMO, which is building up with every dodgy decision.

And that risk is simply being ignored by the incompetent / corrupt SFA. 🙁

  • SFATHENADIROFCHIFTINESS says:

    Bob ( original ),
please don’t use the ‘/‘ marker between the ‘ incompetent ‘ & ‘corrupt SFA’.
It implies that the SFA are either incompetent or corrupt when we all know that in reality they
    are BOTH Incompetent and Corrupt.

  • the maister says:

A bit like the Dallas one, he gave at a corner to the opposition.
He suddenly pointed at the penalty spot.
    Nobody could believe it!
    What?
