Travel problems- Clement gets his wish with tonight’s Ibrox match postponed

With upto 10 first team players out injured tonight’s match at Ibrox has been called off because of road conditions on the A9 between Inverness and Perth.

It seems incredible that road conditions 60 miles from Ibrox have been cited for postponing a match a week before the winter break.

Connor Goldson was the latest injury worry for Philippe Clement to deal with after the defender was forced out of Sunday’s win over Motherwell due to a groin issue.

Borna Barisic, John Lundstram, Ryan Jack, Tom Lawrence, Nico Raskin and Danilo all missed Sunday’s match which almost forced Clement into finding a place in his side for Sam Lammers.

With the weather conditions known well in advance Ross County could have made arrangements to travel on Tuesday or to have taken alternative route today. Motherwell’s match away to Aberdeen tonight appears to be going ahead as scheduled.

The postponement means that Celtic will start the Glasgow Derby five points ahead of their city rivals with home advantage giving them the chance to extend that lead.

Even though they have two matches in hand an eight point deficit going into the new year would still be a significant gap to close down.

Hahaha! Northern geography lesson for those in the central belt – going via Aberdeen would put at least 4 extra hours on the journey (in each direction) so by the time they got to Glasgow they’d barely be able to run far less challenge the mighty rainjurzz. The A9 is closed in both directions at Dunkeld due to flooding, and the alternative routes aren’t exactly ideal for big coaches in heavy rain and given Ross County’s famously frugal finances I don’t think they routinely spring for a dozen hotel rooms in Glasgow at short notice! This postponement might suit Sevco very well with all their injuries but I think the only blame can be directed towards whoever controls the weather. I’m sitting “somewhere up the A9” and it’s been sloshing it down all feckin’ day. These sort of things frequently backfire anyway – better to keep on playing matches in terrible weather than to have games postponed and only low-intensity training. Games in hand are great but you’ve still got to win them….. win on Saturday and the advantage remains with us.

Back to the run penalties not given against sevco and the mug punters on here and elsewhere screaming for our board to something about good luck with that.

Shitebag FC aka Celtic =LIEWELL senior sitting there with a 12 pack of bog roll = The 5 Way Agreement= no boat being rocked as LIEWELL knows the consequences as his fingerprints are all over even though he has denied seeing it.

Very similar to the English when there is a small flurry of snow . Every news bulletin in the SE demands that the entire country be in lockdown because of 1-2 cm of snow … unbelievable !
