After two months out of work Micky Beale has signed up to the CAA Base Agency to try and find a way back into management.

Two years ago his social media campaign topped off by a visit to the Louden Tavern earned him the manager’s job at Ibrox but 10 months later he had been rumbled and found himself contemplating the next step in his coaching journey.

Beale actually has impressive stats from his time at Ibrox but four defeats in seven Glasgow derbies didn’t go down well with a second defeat from Aberdeen forcing the Ibrox board into action.

There has been a variety of vacancies at English Championship sides but Millwall, QPR and Bristol City have all resisted the lure of appointing Beale despite his brilliance on the coaching ground.

Sarcastically dubbed The Brains Behind Gerrard by Celtic fans the former Liverpool u-5 coach embraced that tag as did Ibrox fans who had chased Giovanni van Bronckhorst out the door after just 366 days in charge.

Over the last 20 years Frank Trimboli has created one of the most successful sports agencies in the game, an Australian outsider making his mark inside the riches of the English game.

Three years ago Trimboli was trying to find a European job for Ange Postecoglou, with his success at Celtic and Spurs CAA Base have gained further credibility.

Pushing Beale into a top job in the UK seems unlikely after his pledges of loyalty to QPR, finding a European club is laced with danger to Base with a foreign audience unlikely to be so easily taken in listening to Beale talking about himself, his incredible achievements and contacts.

Beale is expected to be a regular guest with Kenny Macintyre on BBC Sportsound before the end of this season.

He just missed a vacancy at Clachnacuddin FC…

    Thank fcuk for that !!!

He couldn’t get a job Hairy Puddin FC.

The hot seat at Dukla Pumpherston Sawmill & Tannery FC surely awaits the coaching genius. Or since he’s already been QPR and the Glesca Rainjurzz perhaps another “Rangers job” awaits him…. Cove Rangers, Berwick Rangers, Brora Rangers might all feel they should have a better level of coach, I was thinking more along the lines of Kilsyth Rangers, Kilwinning Rangers or maybe Arniston Rangers….

He’d certainly be a good fit for The Kilwinning version…

Not sure about the rest but I’d imagine that version would be staunch for sure –

But at least they all are historical ‘Rangers’ I’d presume – unlike The Glasgow version (died c.2012) and now known as Sevco !
