John Lundstram is looking at a lengthy absence following his appearance in last night’s 2-0 win over St Johnstone.
With his contract expiring next summer the Scary Scouser will be anxious to get back playing to earn a contract at Ibrox or elsewhere.
Half an hour into last night’s match Diallang Jaiyesim slid in from the side, making contact with Lundstram’s right ankle which was on the ground.
Alan Muir initially showed a yellow card but as the Ibrox physio treated the injury a VAR review upgraded the punishment to a red card.

Incredibly the Ibrox medical team decided that Lundstram could play on, inflicting more than 15 minutes of pain on his ankle with the first half halted earlier to allow John Souttar treatment to a head injury.
As Philippe Clement waits on the extent of the damage he might wish to review the competence of the physio that let big Lunny run around for 15 minutes before he was substituted at half-time.
