Kuhn joined Rapid 18 months ago from Bayern Munich without having played a first team match for the German side, he has also had spells with Ajax and RB Leipzig.
Brendan Rodgers has made a couple of comments about the need to bring in first team ready additions to his squad which raises expectations for the incoming former German youth internationalist.
Only Luis Palma of the summer signings has played regularly and made an impact with Kuhn’s arrival likely to push Marco Tilio and Yang Hyun-jun further down the pecking order with both of those players on international duty at the Asian Cup.
