Como are the latest side to express an interest in Rocco Vata with the news revealed by Fabrizio Romano.
It seems that the Serie B side can offer a more realistic prospect of first team football whereas joining Bologna would probably result in being sent out on loan.
The only certainty in the situation is that Vata won’t be at Celtic next season despite making four appearances off the bench under Ange Postecoglou last season.
??? Excl: Celtic have been approached by Italian side Como FC for Irish talent Rocco Vata.
Bologna are keen on signing him as revealed last week but Como can offer different kind of project and guaranteed game time. Talks will follow soon. pic.twitter.com/ZmVUWb5bII

For whatever reasons it appears that there has been a near complete breakdown in relations between Celtic and the player who seemed loathe to extend the three year contract that he signed soon after turning 16.
Ben McPherson and Ben Summers signed new contracts in the summer and moved out on loan to Queens Park and Dunfermline leaving Vata behind to face a third season in the Lowland League.
Interest in the Ireland u-21 internationalist seems mainly to come from Italy with no strong interest from England.
Celtic can negotiate a deal this month that provides them with a sell on clause, if Vata moves in the summer there will be a formula fee applied by UEFA based on the years spent at the Celtic Academy.
Goodbye Rocco. Won’t be missed in my opinion. He’s another one who thinks he’s better than he is. If he was any good the big English or German clubs would be in for him. He’ll end up sorry leaving the celts.
