Ridvan Yilmaz has been pleading with Philippe Clement to allow him out of Ibrox.

Eighteen months after his £5m move from Besiktas the defender’s career is in tatters after being unable to oust Borna Barisic from the First XI. If the Croatian is fit he plays.

That situation means that Yilmaz has dropped down the pecking order for the Turkish international squad with a place in the squad for the European Championships the goal.

A move to Verona has been downgraded from a £3m deal to a loan with little sign of any progress being made.

Stopping just short of the classic END MY IBROX HELL, The Sun reports:

Yilmaz also had interest from Italy with Hellas Verona keen to bring him to the Serie A on an initial loan with an option to buy.

But he has his heart set on a move back to his homeland after Galatasaray joined the race with a similar offer to the Light Blues.

That’s according to Turkish transfer expert Osman ?enher – who claims the left-back has made it clear to Clement that he wants to leave the club.

That’s after the defender was reportedly told by Vincenzo Montella, the manager of Turkey, that he would be included in his provisional Euro 2024 squad if he gets regular game time in the coming months.

The international boss is adamant that if the player fails to play regularly in the lead up to the tournament then he could lose the spot.

And it has since sparked a reaction from Yilmaz, who held chats with Clement over his future this week.

The report claims Yilmaz urged the Gers boss to part ways with him so he can play in Germany in the summer.

It’s also suggested that Yilmaz is now ‘constantly meeting’ with the Light Blues gaffer to force his way out of the club.

Unless he can shift some of the duds bought by Giovanni van Bronckhorst and Mick Beale it looks like Philippe Clement will have to hope for last minute loans to alter the squad that he inherited.

Far be it for me to say anything positive about Sevco…but having watched their games recently ( know thine enemy )….I have to say this wee guy has been their best player…imo.
So it pleases me that he is pissed off.
    Long may that continue.

I think it’s them (Sevco) that want rid of him…

There’s no way the Scottish Football Media would ever want to ‘unsettle’ a Sevco player –
