Brendan Rodgers has revealed that from time to time Kyogo Furuhashi’s shoulder just pops out.

The striker seems perfectly comfortable with the situation, the only time that it is has forced him out of action was a few minutes into the September 2022 Glasgow Derby when he was replaced by Giorgos Giakounakis after five minutes.

When Celtic returned for pre-season training under Brendan Rodgers it was raised as an issue but at the turn of the year the striker has been involved in every Celtic matchday squad.

Well into his third season at the club the former Vissel Kobe striker is Celtic’s first choice striker by some distance while continuing to manage his troublesome shoulder issue.

Speaking to the Daily Record, Rodgers explained:

This break will definitely help Kyogo. He needs a bit of recovery time and then we can get some work in before the games start again.

He is moving back towards what I would expect from him with his runs, movement and chances but his shoulder is still the same. He could get it fixed but he’d be out for four months. Listen, if it was something that was desperate then he would have the operation but it’s not imminent.

It may be something he decides to do in three or four years’ time. It’s not desperately needed, otherwise clearly he would have done it before now. From time to time his shoulder pops out. Then he just pops it back in again.

The decision to leave Kyogo out of the Japan squad for the Asian Cup managed to baffle and delight Celtic supporters.

After missing out on the 2022 World Cup squad the striker hit outstanding form at Celtic, given the right service he could be absolutely vital when the serious action resumes on January 27 at home to Ross County in the SPFL.

Very good information… Now all is required is a wee honest shoulder charge from opposing players and hey presto Kyogo is off injured.. well done for highlighting.

Yes, and it was Lundstrum, who looks like a Gibraltar monkey, who targeted that shoulder in said game!
He behaves worse than one, like a true Hun, as well!

Just how fcukin NIAVE are Celtic as a club…

And just how fcukin NIAVE is Brendan as a manager –

Giving that info to The Daily Record of all the evil rags to give it to…

He was probably asked but must be wise to these pre loaded questions coming down the pipe to him –

The Highland Phone lines from The Daily Record Sports desks will be busy in preparation for the big agricultural players to seriously injure that shoulder for the business end of the season and hand Sevco this most vital of titles…

Get Shankland now in preparation for this event…

Fail to prepare – Prepare to Fail and all that !
