The pressure got too much today for Philippe Clement as he was sent off during a bounce match defeat from Hertha Berlin.
Just before half time the Bundesliga II side took the lead with the pressures of a tough week telling on the former Monaco boss early in the second half.
A foul on Scott Wright proved too much to take for Clement who was red carded for his reaction. Normally in such a match a quiet word from the referee to calm down would do the trick but it can only be assumed that the language used ruled out that option. David Dickinson wasn’t involved in today’s match.
As well as having to deal with the squad of misfits put together by Micky Beale his successor has had to humour fat-cat fans that have bankrolled the trip and behaved as expected.
Paying £7,500 each they’ve been living in the same hotel as the stars and joining Tik Tok, Tav and the rest for meals, there has been suggestions that alcohol as been flowing freely with some fans getting a bit too familiar with their mate big Phil and the players.

Fabio Silva was the only new face in the squad with most comments suggesting that the on loan Wolves flop had a quiet debut.

How unprofessional from the sevco manager:
extremely poor form to be red carded in a friendly.
It’s just not done.
Maybe Clement has transfer related issues getting him riled up?

I heard that the bike ride back to the hotel was all uphill like the mountain phase of the Tour de France . Maybe that’s why he was in a foul mood ?

Reports coming in that the reason Clement was so annoyed and got
himself red carded,
is because sevco refused to hire him a bicycle – to keep costs down –
and Clement has been cycling about on the ‘St.Etienne bike’ from the
erm, trophy room / museum.
But, it’s a 50 year old antique, has 2 flat tyres, and it creaks even more than
Borna Barisic… but it does still move a bit quicker than Barisic.
