Jota seems to be on the move with a respected Twitter account claiming that personal terms have been agreed between the winger and West Ham.

The fine detail of a loan between El Ittihad and Davie Moyes’ club has still to be agreed but with the transfer window closing on Thursday there will be a real focus to negotiations.

Jota’s move to the Saudi Pro League has done nothing for his playing career but even with six months on full salary he will return to the UK in a very comfortable position, looking to pick up on his playing career.

Aouna writes for Foot Mercato and has over 250,000 followers on Twitter.

It had been assumed that Spurs would be the most likely destination for the former Celtic winger but it seems that Ange Postecoglou has other priorities as he looks to book a Champions League return for Spurs.

As well as the EPL West Ham can offer Jota Europa League football, a stage that he impressed on with Celtic, scoring away to Ferencvaros, Bayer Leverkusen, RB Leipzig and Real Madrid.

Back at Celtic there appears no credible rumours going around despite Brendan Rodgers making it known that he was looking for four quality additions to his squad.

Good for Jota – and good for the Hammers’ fans who will be enjoying

watching the online clips of their new loan signing.

And that’s exactly the sort of signing – or loan – we need to see at Celtic Park.

A proper, quality player – who will get everyone at the club buzzing.

A boost for the secod half of the season.

A proper, quality striker could deliver that, if only on loan to season end?

There must be plenty of EPL players wanting some game time:

Chelsea must have about 10 extra strikers! 🙂

We will end up with onloan players from nickel&dime leagues as we are a nickel&dime club.

  • Clachnacuddin and the Hoops says:

A bloody shame that his loan is to an East End club in England’s biggest city and not an East End club in Scotland’s biggest city !
