The SFA has bottled out of taking action against the Ibrox club targeting of Willie Collum.

Three separate statements have been issued to media partners since losing to Celtic on Saturday with all of them questioning the integrity of Saturday’s VAR official.

Accompanying Wednesday’s statement from an un-named club spokesman was the request for Collum not to be involved in future matches involving Philippe Clement’s side.

There is no doubting the substance to the claims, such a suggestion would have a Disrepute Charge slapped on any other club but as every football fan knows other rules applies to clubs from Ibrox.

Covering a statement from the SFA The Sun reports:

We note posts from a recent official media partner of the club’s detailing requests from the private meeting that were immediately rejected.

We would ask that club representatives show greater responsibility in such matters, especially in the context of recent incidents in European football that have compromised the safety of match officials and led to widespread condemnation.

Asking for greater responsibility is a forlorn hope for a club that is pandering to the lowest of the low in Ibrox fan media.

The agenda against Collum goes far deeper than a penalty claim again Celtic on Saturday, a look at the content of some of the official Ibrox media partners highlights that the background of the Lanarkshire official is the real issue.

During the 2018/19 season Collum went six months between appointments for Steven Gerrard’s side after a statement on the club website criticising the decision to send off Alfredo Morelos against St Mirren.

While not being appointed for matches involving the 2012 Tribute Act Collum was selected by UEFA to take charge of matches involving Juventus, Inter Milan, Paris Saint Germain and two Valencia game.

This season the Lanarkshire based official has refereed the Ibrox club three times, the most recent being away to Hearts on December 6.

Subjectivity is a brilliant concept. And it has produced the football team we know today as
    “Rangers!

  • Scud Missile says:

I can see a court case coming up again with sevco taking the SFA all the way for the £60 million champions league money group should they not win the league.

Hampden is full of ALKIES sitting there shiting themselves what sevco’s next trick could be,hence no punishment for the FAKE NEWS statements from the klub on Collum or how that meeting went yesterday.

  • Scud Missile says:

The next move by sevco could be that they demand a replay of the game, after all one of their KLOWN supporters was on sevco radio blaming the police commander at the game giving instructions out to the officials to let Celtic win the game.

  • Clachnacuddin and the Hoops says:

They (Sevco) will do what they want – when they want – and where they want…

And we will all have to suffer this pish pot jerker for the rest of our all living days I’m afraid !
