In trademark fashion Football Insider has broke the EXCLUSIVE! news that Celtic will accept offers for Ben Siegrist.

As transfer tales go it really is scraping the barrel suggesting that offers will be accepted for the third choice goalkeeper that has been limited to two League Cup appearances in his 18 months with Celtic.

The incredible scoop has been uncovered by the notorious Football Insider ‘sources’ with that website having sources at every EPL club plus two in Glasgow who regularly spill the beans over the big EXCLUSIVES!

With virtually no sources or insiders Video Celts can EXCLUSIVELY reveal that Celtic would be delighted to receive any sort of offer for upto a dozen players starting with Alexandro Bernabei and Sead Haksabanovic who arrived alongside Siegrist in the summer of 2022 as Mark Lawwell started to exert his influence.

At tea-time yesterday Football Insider revealed:

Celtic are ready to accept an offer for goalkeeper Benjamin Siegrist before the close of the transfer window with multiple European clubs weighing up moves, sources have told Football Insider.

The 31-year-old, who was widely linked with Austrian side Sturm Graz earlier in the window, finds himself third-choice keeper at Celtic behind Joe Hart and Scott Bain.

Siegrist has made just two competitive appearances for Celtic since joining the club in the summer of 2022 from Dundee United.

Yuki Kobayashi, Tomoki Iwata, Gus Lagerbielke, Kwon Hyeok-kyu and others are in a similar position to Siegrist but there is one major issue- not many, if any, clubs are ready to put in an offer to Celtic or to match the salaries the players are already on.

Stand by for more blockbusters involving the players above as Football Insider sources step up to the mark over the next nine days, EXCLUSIVELY of course.

Siegrist is under contract till May 2026 with Celtic highly unlikely to receive an offer for his services, if he does leave it is likely to involve a pay off from Celtic.

Joe…You’ve made a valid point about lazy journalism here…But …This article also helps to sum up the comment I made yesterday about our transfer and contract policies…Which are bizzare in the extreme. Siegrist is a classic example of WTF happpened here and is baffling to say the least…My guess is that his off field life style may be the reason…but in true Celtic tradition…we will probably never know…One day they might get it right.

Editor: With the exception of Johnston, Oh, Palma and Nawrocki every one of Lawwell Mini’s signings could leave and not be noticed, unfortunately they are all on good four and five year contracts and will have to be paid to leave, much like Lawwell Sen & Jnr.

Steady on Ed. Celtic’s First Team Squad is about thirty players. If they accepted
“Any Sort Of Offer For Up To A Dozen Players”
then the squad could be left threadbare.
Who would step in at left back if Bernabei wasn’t there?
