Chilean club CD Palestino have launched a green and white hooped kit and branded it as Green Brigade on their club store.
Based in the capital city of Santiago, CD Palestino finished the 2023 season in fourth place in the Campeanato Chileno, eight points behind champions Hauchipato.
While the Green Brigade has fall outs and stand off’s with the Celtic board it seems that they have admirers worldwide with no natural connection between Celtic and Chile.
Earlier this season the Green Brigade had their Season Tickets suspended by Celtic and allocation to away matches withdrawn. That issue has now been resolved but in a pocket of South America the Ultras group are guaranteed a warm welcome.

The kit is very similar to this season’s Celtic home kit, even down to the ‘stained glass’ pattern through the green hoops, across the chest there is a four leaf clover above the flag of Palestine.
Chilean football has some brilliantly named clubs and links to ethnic groups with O’Higgins, Everton, Universidad Catolica and Audax Italiano in the top flight.
Celtic’s only ever matches in South America were in 1967 in the ill-fated World Club Championship matches against Racing Club in Argentina and Uruguay.
