With the media world shocked to the core over two words used by Brendan Rodgers in a post match interview the person at the centre of it has almost been overlooked.

It would be quite a stretch to describe Jane Lewis as a victim, I suspect that the result of yesterday’s match caused her more distress than the choice of words from a football manager.

She repeated the phrase as Rodgers walked away, not storming off as many media Drama Queens (oops) described it.

During football matches Lewis hears much stronger language, when the microphones are off there are many in the football business than can barely complete a sentence without the f-bomb or using the b or c words.

While the Daily Mail, TalkSPORT and others cry foul and look for groups to be offended the phrase is one that Lewis is very comfortable using on Twitter.

Lewis is a freelance but appears to work exclusively for BBC Scotland, on Wednesday night she is expected to be part of their team covering the action from Rugby Park which is likely to include Kenny Miller, Neil McCann and Steven Thompson.
