Colby Donovan was the goalscorer for Celtic in yesterday’s 1-0 victory over Queen s Park in the Glasgow Cup.

The 17-year-old made a driving run down the right, with the home defence opening up he fired in a great low right foot shot into the corner of the net.

Information on Donovan is difficult to find online beyond the fact that he has played five times in the Lowland League this season. He doesn’t even have a profile on the Celtic website.

Daniel Kelly and Roco Vata were each given 67 minutes after recent involvement with the first team squad.

With two wins out of two Celtic are on course for the final of the Glasgow Cup with familiar opponents expected although a repeat of last season’s 6-5 thriller is unlikely.

On Saturday the young Celts return to the Lowland League where they are in action at home (Airdrie) to Berwick Rangers.

CELTIC: Clarke, Donovan (Osagie 67), Mackenzie, Agbaire, Robertson, Ure, Davidson, Kelly (Quinn 67), Vata (Turley 67), Kyle (McArdle 78), Dobbie (Cummings 78)

Subs: Morrison, Bonetig

So Bible John aka Johnnybag McFudface from the daily sevco is all giddy with excrement about the world class performance of Dujon Sterling against the mighty St Johnstone the other week, apparently he is going land sevco a massive windfall in the next transfer market.

Good to see they still sniffing some proper glue at ibrox noise and the daily sevco.

I see over on the Celtic blog the guy that writes that thinks sacking Rodgers will open the cheque book for the next manager to spend big,how some people are easily fooled.
They ain’t giving big money to Rodgers a so called big name manager,so the next nickel&dime manager to come along will be given an Aldi&Lidl type budget to spend.
