Four weeks after his controversial handling of the Hearts v Celtic match Don Robertson will referee Sunday’s match when the hoops visit Livingston.

Robertson hasn’t had any other matches since the stormy clash at Tynecastle, he was due to take charge of the recent match at Dens Park that caused another controversy when e postponed it 90 minutes before kick-off.

Undeterred by those issues outgoing SFA refereeing chief Crawford Allan has put Robertson in charge of Sunday’s match with the Sky Sports cameras again present, Alan Muir will be on VAR duties.

Before that match Brendan Rodgers will on Thursday answer an SFA Notice of Complaint, if found guilty the Celtic boss faces at least a two match ban from the dug out. That would leave John Kennedy in charge on Sunday with Rodgers on radio contact from the Directors Box.

Following the international break there is always some uncertainty about the make up of the Celtic team in the fixture afterwards.

This time around things are a bit different with Callum McGregor, Reo Hatate, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Luis Palma all missing international action due to injuries.

With a week of training at Lennoxtown behind them Rodgers will need to decide if those players can be used on the plastic surface at the Tony Macaroni Arena.

So the corrupt sfa give a very clear and explicit “up yours” to the champions.
Why does this not surprise you?
The message is very loud, and very very clear!

  • Sid says:

Wow, how blatant can you get ! They are testing how much Celtic are prepared to take. The more Celtic take the more they’ll push the boundaries. Only UEFA or legal action will result in any progress, everything else will fail and I have my suspicions Celtic are only fighting this because we’re at season ticket renewal time and will be quietly dropped. Will the Celtic fans be done again from their own custodians?

  • Johnno says:

Is there any point in Rodgers even showing up at this hearing on Thursday?
Seems to me that the outcome has already been decided, with this cheating appointment made?
The SFA must remain as possibly the most corrupt organisation in world sport imo?
And decisions upon allowing a cheating ref to still take charge of our matches, especially when an outstanding complaint remains against such a cheating bastard, only confirms matters as far as I’m concerned?
How will this Celtic board react to the massive “Fuck you Celtic” handed out today from the SFA?
Wouldn’t expect them to fight our corner over such ridiculous decisions been carried out by the SFA yet again?
Would the same decisions have been made if the scum were involved in such a situation with the SFA?
Of course not, so the SFA no longer try to even hide there corruption within the Scottish game?

  • the maister says:

There’s a green light there for Livingston to have a square go at Celtic for the three points!
Mr. Robertson is a variety of violet, when the gloves are down.
Livingstone need the points and that is an obvious way of attaing them!

  • Clachnacuddin and the Hoops says:

Robertson is very very lenient as a referee…

They know that in Thugland Scotland –

The perfect ref if you wanna commit common assault on the field of play…

And the victims are usually Celtic…

Just as Kieran Tierney (and Beram Kayal) !
