There were signs of concern and panic today during Celtic’s 3-0 win over St Mirren when James Forrest came on as an 80th minute substitute for Nicolas Kuhn.

In the 71st minute Brendan Rodgers had made a very rare quadruple substitution on top of Stephen Welsh coming on for Maik Nawrocki in the 62nd minute.

Some fans shouted and raced towards the dug-out to warn against a sixth substitute and the possible consequences of fielding an ineligible player.

A sixth substitute can be used if a player has been concussed but there was nothing in the Celtic replacements to suggest any sort of head knock.

Fortunately there was an explanation in the substitutions from St Mirren.

Midway through the first half Yang Hyun-jun and Elvis Bwonono had suffered a clash of heads, after a second round of treatment the Saints defender had to go off with Stephen Robinson nominating it as a concussion substitution.

Rather than waste a substitution Bwonono was replaced by Barry Strain with Saints still having the option of five normal substitutions.

Celtic were also allowed a sixth substitute, Forrest was involved in the third goal goal from Adam Idah following on from goals from Reo Hatate and Kyogo Furuhashi.

I believe I’ve just heard ex referee Bobby Madden let the cat out of the bag regarding VAR on Sportsound ? When asked by McIntyre about the purpose of VAR ,Madden stated that EUFA require the ‘ best result for football !’ Now , considering we all know that most referees and VAR officials are highly pro the Rangers fan boys ,the end product is self explanatory ? So there we have it ….the top governing body of Europe ,turns a blind eye as long as it’s good for the game ! It’s all as bent as an Arabian dagger !

      CLASS COMMENT and unfortunately true.

The Aussie snake, a snake much more venomous (to football) than the Aussie Brown Snake entered the arena and introduced the biggest con ever. Partially revolving MONEY.

He offered TV football (SKY), at a price (and what a fukkin price that was) so that anyone could pay HIM to watch their favourite team. Murdoch would skim off millions/billions and give house-based fans an option. The idea perhaps very good. The practice AWFUL. And FIFA, another disgusting, financially thieving shower, lapped it up.

Meantime the true football fan was financially raped to feed the greedy mouths of world football, and it’s still such today.
Now I have other ideas; ideas to take out the Lawwells, the Desmonds, the Murdochs and FIFA/UEFA…..WE HAVE THE POWER…..ordinary supporters like you and me.

Big changes often come from small beginnings…….so let’s start at CP.

Hail! Hail! The Glasgow Celtic FC, fukk the tory bastards in the PLC.

PS I’m hearing of a new and welcome Tim site, Celtic365, let’s hope it turns out to be special. We seem to have lost/partially lost eTims, one of the best Tim sites ever. I’d love to hear they were back!

    Great comment Harold.

I posted on an earlier thread that we really needed to score more goals (second only to winning the game). We got both and it wasn’t easy. Conditions nearly impossible at times.
To see Reo again ‘in the mood’ is fantastic. Since he’s been nursed back he’s looked like OUR Reo, the fantastic playmaker/scorer he is, as opposed to a down-hearted, lost ‘soul’

CCV is crucial to our play. I saw this when he was on loan and ‘prayed’ (I’m Atheist) that Celtic would sign him for the touted £6 Mill. Jota was also that kinda price but I felt CCV was more necessary. Surprisingly we got both, at that time.
Aye, I’m really, really happy with that play and result today from Our Bhoys.
But we need to win every game on the run-in. McClean was still clever (cheating) today, as they are practiced at, but win our games, despite Lawwell’s treachery, and we’re MORE than honourable Title winners.
Lawwell WILL be sorted and, if it’s a statue he wants, he may not really wish for the statue that I sometimes dream of…..one with him concentric to it.
Hail, Hail, The Glasgow Celtic, traitors and huns Hell Hell!
