Brendan Rodgers has hit back at claims that he was disrespectful over using the word fun to preview tomorrow’s Glasgow Derby.
Following the 3-0 win over Hearts that strengthened Celtic’s place at the top of the SPFL attention quickly turned to the final Derby match of the SPFL season.
The media outlets were naturally looking for a headline to run with, almost dismissing the importance of the clash Rodgers mentioned that he’d be looking to have some fun.
That message was relayed to Philippe Clement after his side beat Kilmarnock to cut the gap back to three points with three matches left to play.
Most managers would have smiled and deflected away from that question but the Belgian seemed to take exception to the claim, responding that it was disrespectful.
That exchange has dominated the build up to tomorrow’s match with Rodgers happy to respond to the disrespect claim.

Celtic have no fresh injury problems from the Hearts match giving Rodgers a full squad to select from.
Willie Collum will referee the match with Steven McLean on VAR duties.
