An image has surfaced on social media tonight which appears to show a young Lennon Miller wearing a Celtic scarf outside of Celtic Park.
It could of course be a fake, doctored image and even if true be of little relevance to the future of the best teenage prospect in Scottish football.
Miller is having an outstanding season at Motherwell, building on last season’s breakthrough where he scored at 16 but was restricted him to starting just 25 matches.
Last season Miller signed a new contract that runs until May 2026 but it is expected that there will be serious offers being made during the January transfer window.
Earlier this week one Facebook account claimed that a fee of £4.3m had been agreed between Celtic and Motherwell that included add-ons with the midfielder loaned back to his current club for the remainder of the season.
Celtic currently have five strong contenders for midfield places but as they discovered with Matt O’Riley there are always clubs waiting to sign up their top talents.
You can never be 100% these days but this looks vèry much like Lennon Miller around the age of 10… pic.twitter.com/vQ0CM4Khxk

According to Paul John Dykes of ACSOM Miller did train with Celtic from the ages of 8-10 before deciding that Motherwell would be a better option to continue his development.
Celtic will have played against Miller throughout his time at Motherwell where there has been a clear pathway to first team football.
There could be offers from England and Liverpool for the teenager but at this stage in his career a move to Celtic would involve minimal disruption to his life with Brendan Rodgers a manager with a track record of developing players as highlighted by O’Riley last season and Nicolas Kuhn so far this season.
