Celtic fans had a day to remember as they watched their side reach the final of the Scottish Cup- extending the season until May 24 with a Hampden date against Aberdeen.
Close to 40,000 Celtic fans enjoyed the sunshine at the National Stadium as Brendan Rodgers’ side crushed St Johnstone 5-0.
Four of the goals came in a 12 minute spell just before half-time with the celebrations for each goal merging.
The brilliance on the pitch was matched by the energetic backing from the fans as they welcomed their team back to top form for the sprint towards a treble.
Just two weeks ago a similar group of player looked tired and jaded as they lost away to St Johnstone, with four changes in the Starting XI the tempo has been raised with 10 goals scored in the two matches since.
Epic rendition of “Piling on the Agony” during today’s Celtic – St Johnstone Scottish Cup Semi-Final clash at Hampden.

With five weekends of the season left there is plenty for the Celtic support to enjoy.
On Saturday the title can be won by taking a point away to Dundee United, that is followed by a trip to Ibrox, a home match with St Mirren, trophy presentation day then back to Hampden looking to claim a ninth treble, the sixth in nine years.
It wouldn’t be too horrid (except for our travelling supporters) if we lost at Tannadice and won the Title at the home of the biggest phonies since ‘phony’ was invented by some phony who couldn’t spell ‘ompistor’!
Canny see that happening TicToc as St.Mirren will likely take at least a draw off them in the 3pm Kick off on Saturday…
And they have owned us big time this year under Brendan’s current tactics I’m afraid !
