Even before he has formally signed up Lyall Cameron is on the Deludemol.

Unable to come up with the token Development Fee to sign the midfielder in January, the 2012 Ibrox Tribute Act snapped up the Dundee midfielder on a pre-contract agreement.

The SFA will set up a Tribunal to decide on the fee based on Dundee’s Academy status and the number of years spent on Cameron by the club with a fee of around £350,000 likely.

Cameron scored against St Johnstone yesterday as Dundee secured their place in the SPFL Premiership for next season, it was his 14th goal of the season, more than the combined total of Nicky Raskin (5) and Mo Diomonde (6). Connor Barron has still to score since leaving Aberdeen last summer.

Over the next few weeks all sorts of comparison’s about Cameron’s ability will be made, kicking off the delusions about his summer switch he told The Sun:

It’s an unknown but it’s a challenge and I’m really looking forward to going somewhere different and challenging myself at a higher level.

I accept that I’m going from one of the smaller teams in the country to the biggest so it’s not going to be easy and I’m going to have to work hard for my spot in the team.

Luke McCowan left Dundee to join the biggest team in the country last summer, on Saturday he’ll be hoping to help Celtic clinch the treble for the sixth time in nine seasons.

Over that period Celtic have won 21 of the 26 domestic trophies with James Tavernier picking up three winners medals during a decade of failure.

Cameron can now look forward to being called up to the Scotland squad alongside Barron and all the usual hype, the sort that saw Barrie McKay dubbed as the most gifted player in Scottish football after a few step-overs in 2017.

Joe McHugh has been Video Celts since 2010, every day covering events in and around Scotland's most successful club.
When a six year stretch at the Sunday Mirror came to an end it was clear that the future was digital, print had ran its race.
Smart phones and social media created a new landscape, Video Celts has certainly made an impact with Joe described as having an unhealthy obsession by Peter Lawwell at the 2024 Celtic AGM. A priceless endorsement, cheers big man.
There are issues breaking around the clock, no two days are the same more than 50 years on from his first match Joe is enjoying every success for Scotland's Most Successful Club.

    Can’t help myself.
    “Hot off the press” from Jackson;

“…Over the course of this coming week Andrew Cavenagh will instruct sporting director Kevin Thelwell and Gretar Steinsson of the San Francisco 49ers to conduct and oversee a series of interviews with a number of candidates for the manager’s position…”

A guy / ‘consortium’ – who, as far as we know hasn’t actually bought any RIFC shares yet [or no significant stake] – is now directing RIFC operations?

    Really?

CEO Paddy is just sitting back , letting overseas tyre-kickers dictate how his business is to be run…?

Jackson is back to his “off the radar” standard of scribbling in The DR! 🙂

You will have noticed when young Cameron was describing theRangers as ‘ the biggest ‘ team in Scotland , he did not also say he was joining the ‘ greatest , most successful , legitimate , wealthiest , most lawful , friendliest , decent , honest , newest ,best run football clumpany in wee Scotland ? ‘ I wonder why the omissions ? Those kind of characteristics cannot be overlooked and disregarded easily …can they…unless ?

The scum are currently addressing there 8 homegrown quota requirements for European football?
Yet continues to go unnoticed that the shower of shite still remain unable to produce anything from within at that toxic shithole?
We could do with improvement ourselves regarding the issue, but still remain way ahead of the scum, and every aspect that remains within the Scottish game, and will remain the case for the foreseeable also imo?

Perhaps I’m being a wee tad disingenuous towards him as Sevco are definitely the biggest in the country at…

    1) – CHEATING…

    2) – Pathologically Lying to their own fans and others…

    3) – Racking up filthy debts – And still they win fuck all !!!

Neil Warnock just been seen driving out of Auchinhowie training ground, with Ramon Bagwash trying to talk to him as he drove away,STV 6 o’clock news should be interesting.

  • Charlie Green says:

I see Sevco are going to retaliate if John Brown is punished for calling the officials “corrupt”. Not sure what they can do but Brown’s face and voice make anything he does indefensible although it should be good fun watching the SFA fold.

  • Magua says:

Lyal Cameron? Andy Cameron more like. The kid is obviously on his way to superstars. Alternatively, he may well play a number of games, before Loyal bears drive him out.

    Hail Hail.

  • Magua says:

    Superstardom obviously.
