Emirhan Demircan has knocked back a place in Kev Thelwell’s American Revolution at Ibrox to sign for Dutch side Utrecht.

The Turkish u-21 internationalist was out of contract with Bayern Munich B, faced with offers from Germany, Turkey and Ibrox he preferred the proposal made by Utrecht.

Two weeks after Andrew Cavenagh’s consortium swept to power at Ibrox no new signings have been made despite the promises of off the radar spending with Thelwell pulling the strings and pressing the buttons.

The loyal messengers were all over that theme, three and four players a day were being hyped up but the problem with that is when they move on to sign elsewhere.

Ten days before the start of pre-season training it looks like Russell Martin will be laying out the bibs and cones for the same serial losers that finished last season when he clocks in at Murray Park.

Out of contract stars Vaclav Cerny, Ianis Hagi, Tom Lawrence and Leon Balogun have moved on with flops Ben Davies, Kieran Dowell, Jose Cifuentes and Rabbi Mattondo all returning from loan spells..

Imposing his exciting pressing style of play on the group of players that finished 17 points behind Celtic last season will test Martin’s brilliance to the max.

When a six year stretch at the Sunday Mirror came to an end it was clear that the future was digital, print had ran its race.
Smart phones and social media created a new landscape, Video Celts has certainly made an impact with Joe described as having an unhealthy obsession by Peter Lawwell at the 2024 Celtic AGM. A priceless endorsement, cheers big man.
There are issues breaking around the clock, no two days are the same more than 50 years on from his first match Joe is enjoying every success for Scotland's Most Successful Club.

Ha ha they just cannot stop having a go at us.

This guy turned them down but they just had to add that he has instead decided to join Celtic flop Vasilis Barkas. They then launch into a summary of why Barkas was a disaster for the hoops.

The Lennon Miller saga is another example of where they immediately link themselves with every Celtic target even though they do not have any money to compete with what we are able to pay.

If their only dream in life is to try and emulate us they should give up now and focus on a more realistic one.

Canny argue that Barkas was an utter, utter disaster – Ian Andrews esque…

But of course they’d have do the comparison the utter scum that they are !

  • Bob (original) says:

Whoever he is, sevco’s first signing target was a freebie.

No effort made – whatsoever – to generate some real excitement amongst the bears

by actually buying a known player – and with money!

sevco’s strategy to overtake our club is based on freebies and loans.

    Good luck with that…

Do you have any realistic ideas on who we might buy , I know it’s early and targets can’t be signed until Monday off next week , but I believe more than other sites that you are a more credible source of news in that regard , keep up the good work .????

Editor: I have little expectation, we certainly won’t be proactive. Nicholson declared his lack of ambition in January over Kyogo. Only if Rodgers can get DD to lean on Lawell and Nicholson will anything happen, selling players will be the priority ahead of strengthening the squad, it has been that way for years.
