Michael Nicholson has Celtic’s Fan Engagement Strategy pinned up on his wall!
It seems to be kept a secret, much like Nicholson’s four year reign as CEO which has involved one media interview, held jointly with Brendan Rodgers and Peter Lawwell in June 2023.
Over the last 10 days the spotlight has been on Nicholson with nothing that has emerged showing him in a positive light.
On the back of being knocked out of the Champions League and a horrendous transfer window Nicholson seemed to go into meltdown over the weekend.
After three meetings with different supporter groups on Friday Nicholson agreed to a senior figure slaughtering Brendan Rodgers in The Sun followed by an incredible statement that left fans baffled at the AI inspired ramble.

Honestly, this beggars belief, in terms of fan engagement and the strategy, the plan is actually pinned on Michael Nicholson’s wall. He’s just not told any of the fans yet.
That information emerged at last nights Fan Meeting when a delegate from the Association Supporters Association shared details of Friday’s meeting with the Celtic CEO.
Perhaps the reason for the strategy being closely guarded is that the club is operating it to perfection.
Maybe fans have to be treated with contempt and patronised at every turn.
Praised around anything involving selling, reminded of their importance, how they are the best fans in the world, without equal or comparison.
The rest of the time they can be completely ignored, in July 2024 a fan survey was launched as a box ticking exercise, at the weekend , 14 months after launch word leaked out in minutes of a meeting there was an issue with the data corrupted.
Should the club wish to hold a second survey they can be guaranteed an even more hostile set of results from supporters that can see straight through whatever strategy Nicholson is staring at.

Well, they can try but they can’t ignore 39K respondents to the survey,
and the wide, cross-support organisation of planned actions?
And everything else aside, for me, it comes down to Nicholson as a CEO / leader.
If he chooses not to front up to the media [even in-house] BEFORE
BR’s presser, then Nicholson will have confirmed that he is not CEO material,
and cannot develop into that role either, [I know, and after 4 years!]
It’s exactly at stressful times like now, that the CEO steps up and leads.
That is why they are paid the big bucks: obviously. 🙁
Anyone who’s met Michael Nicolson knows that whilst he’s a nice guy he’s a Sheep in Sheep’s clothing and is not a people person. I expect he ( or his boss more likely!) thought putting something like that on his office wall was a sop to his visitors and all part of the overall patronising insincere objective of telling them they were very important to him and to his colleagues, fellow board members and the company’s bank manager!
Lol a wee touch of the Comical Ali about our club,the whole club is burning down around them with fire in the background but statements are being put out all is good.
