It’s a charge usually aimed at referees and heard at all grounds across Scotland and England. Last night it came out of the mouth of a Roma goal-scorer.

As they stumble around making idiotic decisions and looking badly out of their depth Nick Walsh, Don Robertson and John Beaton are very familiar with it.

You Don’t Know What You’re Doing.

ROMA IN COMPLETE CONTROL

Last night there was a fresh twist to that claim. It didn’t come from the stands, it wasn’t by supporters.

After scoring just one goal this season Evan Ferguson was in the Roma side to take on Celtic.

Thousands of young Irish kids dream of being involved at Celtic Park on a big European night.

Last night was certainly a dream come true for the on loan Brighton striker. Two goals before half time, reminding everyone that there are more options than just Troy Parrot.

After the match Ferguson was interviewed by TNT Sport. His words were both a warning and a favour to the Celtic support.

We knew they were in the transition with the managers, they changed the formation. You could see, at times, they played well and it worked and, at times, they didn’t, some people didn’t know what they were doing. I think we just stuck to our game plan and tried to play the way we play.

Nancy is the third manager to take charge of Celtic in the Europa League this season.

LAWWELL LEGACY

With the better players sold off by Michael Nicholson and a lengthy injury list it is little wonder that things are difficult on the park.

Martin O’Neill figured out what was needed to win matches, he made the best of the limited resources available.

Unless Wilfried Nancy adapts quickly he is going to just another side note on Peter Lawwell’s Celtic legacy. A club that is at least 20 years out of day and utterly insignificant in European terms.

The pressure is piling up on the new manager going into Sunday’s League Cup Final against St Mirren.

Being the choice of Paul Tisdale because they have a mutual friend in Kwame Ampadu isn’t a good look.

Nancy needs to learn quickly, install confidence and belief in his players. If not there is only one outcome.

Joe McHugh has edited Video Celts since 2010, every day covering events in and around Scotland's most successful club.

When a six year stretch at the Sunday Mirror came to an end it was clear that the future was digital, print had ran its race.

Smart phones and social media created a new landscape, Video Celts has certainly made an impact with Joe described as having an unhealthy obsession by Peter Lawwell at the 2024 Celtic AGM. A priceless endorsement.

There are issues breaking around the clock, no two days are the same. More than 50 years on from his first match Joe is enjoying the ongoing successes of Celtic.

The board should be lambasted for changing managers just before the Hearts/Roma/Final sequence of games.

How utterly stupid are these people !!!

    • Stevie says:

Stupid ain’t the word. Not fit for purpose is more like it. Not the managers fault here. You can only piss wae the …. you’ve got as they say. No decent investment was the problem..
The team is struggling as no one is getting behind them. Keep the protests for outside.
