Celtic’s transfer shambles has continued into a third week of the January window.
According to Anthony Joseph the hoops have ‘registered an interest’ in Callum Wilson.
What that actually means is anyone’s guess.
It sounds as useless as keeping tabs and asking to be informed when it comes to transfer matters.
CELTIC NEWS BUBBLE
Joseph is certainly inside the ‘Celtic News Bubble’ with a regular supply of information about what is going on.
At this stage of the window in a three way title race Celtic fans are demanding more than vague links.
Wilson appears likely to terminate his West Ham deal this month, making him available as a free agent. Just like Kelechi Iheanacho.
Michael Nicholson shrugs shoulders

Celtic have made an enquiry for West Ham striker Callum Wilson.
Sky Sports News understands the Scottish champions are trying to gauge his interest in joining them this window.
That detail really should have been established a long time ago. Wilson can head off to Saudi Arabia on huge money or head up to Glasgow under O’Neill.
The need for Celtic to sign a striker has gone beyond a joke.
At the end of August Michael Nicholson was working round the clock to sell Adam Idah and Daizen Maeda.
Apparently there was a near miss in signing over Kasper Dolberg where a series of unfortunate events saw the striker rejoin Ajax from Anderlecht.
If there was any truth in that claim plan sought to have been in place for a striker to be signed at the start of January.
Clearly there isn’t.
MANAGER IN THE SPOTLIGHT
Martin O’Neill has been involved in various verbal gymnastics to explain the lack of January arrivals.
The bottom line is that the team that lines up away to Hearts on January 25 will look very familiar.
That is the squad that lost out to Kairat Almaty, that lost the League Cup Final to St Mirren and six of their first 20 SPFL matches.
On Sunday Celtic are away to Auchinleck Talbot followed by a Europa League trip to Bologna with no additions to that squad.
O’Neill will face the media again today, more of the same is on the menu with a token mention of Wilson expected.
Since announcing the return appointment of O’Neill nothing has been heard from Michael Nicholson or Brian Wilson.
NOTE: I’m looking for two tickets for the Auchinleck match for my nephew, if you have any spare please email videocelts@snack-media.com

There’s either a bottom line on the bank account The Tash won’t allow to be breached or the suits really are hopelessly ineffectual.
I get the feeling there is no one at Celtic allowed to pull the trigger on any deal without getting The Tash on the blower.
He doesn’t come near the place, but controls every aspect.
IMHO, The Tash gets off way too easy compared to MN, he should be the target of all our ire, all of the time, MN is the patsy, the puppet.
Wouldn’t blame O’Neill if he walked away from this shitshow. We’ve been living a lie under this board for the last 20yrs, and this season is started to show us up domestically in the same way as it’s done in Europe over that period.
I honestly believe that there needs to be an organised boycott of season tickets if people genuinely care for Celtic, I will never set foot inside Paradise again til they are gone. They are deliberately strangling us. It’s beyond a joke.
Lemony sickerrt would have had better luck joe.
Am only interested in dotted lines tbf, the rest is space filler
I’ve made an enquiry about replacing Pope Leo when he goes.
I can’t believe there’s still some of us willing to purchase season tickets . Dont buy a thing !
Desmond Trump is the main problem,
Nicholson, Lawwell and the rest are incompetent lackeys.
There cannot be one single Celtic fans that truly believes that this board will give MON the players he absolutely needs to mount a serious assault on the league. They are useless and should be driven out of the club.No track record.
I don’t see this window being any different to last few,,, funny how fast the cogs and wheels move wen they want to unload a player(s) wen ££££££££££,, are coming in,,,
Wilson, what do the board think the physio’s are slacking off. He is more injured then fit.
I don’t understand why MON is choosing to put himself between the Board and the support re: transfers.
He’s come out of club retirement – again – at 73 and is probably knackered just trying to run the team?
And again, he is just in position until May, so why would the Board buy players on his
recommendation?
Nobody expected a decent – or even acceptable – transfer window ? Again.
Mibbes Aye Mibbes Naw.
When in doubt do nothing.
People will still buy the season books and merch.
It’s plain that there is no management structure. Theres just silos populated by no marks. No database, no structure in scouting and targeting no communication with agents management other clubs. There’s just Grace Brothers. The business operating to an old fashioned model.
Michael Nicolson faxing clubs to “register an interest” what a lot of nonsense.
Pony up. Invest or go!!
