The match officials involved in Saturday’s Celtic v Dundee match should be answering a number of charges put to them this morning by Willie Collum.
That would be the case if Celtic had a functioning, competent CEO. Or a Board of Directors with a passing interest in the welfare of the club.
Celtic has neither.
They have a hologram of a CEO who thinks that fan engagement means an extra glass of wine and a late night boozy walkabout in Bologna.
CELTIC ON THE ROPES
Nicholson is held to account by a Chairman obsessed by criticising the Scottish Government.
A 77-year-old man duped onto BBC Scotland to defend his Labour Party chums from their association with the most notorious paedophile in history. Missing the irony of the state broadcaster lecturing on that subject given the lengthy crime sheet of their favourite presenters.
Brian Wilson is so out of touch that he walked straight into a BBC Scotland trap. Trusted and favoured media partners of Celtic.
With that sort of leadership it is little wonder that opponents and match officials feel that they have free reign to do as they wish against Celtic players.
Saturday was a portfolio of what is standard practice of what is allowed to go in Celtic matches.
Horror tackle by Yan Dhanda on Yang. Yang gets to ball first, Dhanda straight leg studs first onto his shin. Yang limping & lucky not to have a snapped leg. Clear red card. Douglas Ross assistant looking right at it – shocking integrity. Andrew Dallas on VAR shocking again. pic.twitter.com/QA0OqV2tEk

Midway through the second half Yan Dhanda committed a horrific assault on Yang Hyun-jun.
PILE IN TO CELTIC WINGER
Sliding in late and reckless with a straight leg at his opponents knee. In his third season in Scottish football Yang knew what to expect and partially rode the attack.
Close to the action Douglas Ross saw nothing wrong with the attack. He wasn’t frantically raising his flag and shouting RED CARD, RED CARD.
Rookie referee Ryan Lee saw it, he thought it was a yellow card. What level of attack would merit a sending off?
On VAR duty Andrew Dallas and David Dickinson didn’t bother pausing for a review, not even their preferred token review with the outcome already known.
Soon afterwards Yang was substituted.
In the 88th minute Kieran Tierney wasn’t so lucky. He took a deliberate kick to the face. Another yellow card.
Under Nicholson Celtic haven’t once raised a public concern about refereeing issues.
Asked at the 2023 AGM a question about John Beaton the Celtic CEO smirked to his colleagues and said ‘penalty to Rangers’.
Will Michael Nicholson secure 20% of tickets for Celtic fans at Ibrox?
YES- Don't doubt our mighty leader
NO- Expect capitulation from the mouse
The silence from the Parkhead hierarchy is deafening Joe.
