Plans for a new 70,000 capacity Ibrox Stadium have been put on hold.
Yesterday the troubled club announced a 6.5% increase in Season Ticket prices alongside details of another share issue.
The club is hoping to raise £16m from existing shareholders to meet the 26/27 budget.
There are no capital projects planned.
The share issue is to meet next season’s running costs. Hopes of selling Nicky Raskin for £30m and picking up £40m for Manny Fernandez now look to be in doubt.
Season 25/26 has been a difficult one for Chairman Andrew Cavenagh to finance.
MYSTERY OF THE IBROX MONEY MAN
The American based businessman is something of a mystery even a year on from being introduced to the Scottish public as a pharmaceutical billionaire.
Cavenagh isn’t the San Francisco 49ers, The 49ers or even 49ers Enterprises.
Last month Paraag Marathe resigned as vice-Chairman, cutting the faint links to 49ers Enterprises.
Income from UEFA and European gate money is significantly down this season. Last season the club played six sell out Europa League matches, this season that fell to four.
Last season there was one semi-final and one final from domestic cup competitions, this season one semi-final.
bigger stadium. They get another share issue??? pic.twitter.com/alHcIHWWzW

The Super Stadium has been teasing frustrated fans for almost 30 years.
In 1998 the capacity of Celtic Park rose to 60,000, pushing Ibrox into the shadow with Celtic having an in-built financial advantage ever since.
Dave Murray launched a famous moonbeam in 2008 about the new look super stadium.
Never one to hold back the Sunday Mail went all in with the 70,000 seater stadium, retractable roof, super casino, retractable pitch plus a six star hotel complete with helipad to shuttle star players from the state-of-the-art Murray Park training complex.
Three years later Murray snatched a pound coin from Craig Whyte who inherited the super stadium plans and a massive incoming bill from Her Majesty.
Once or twice a year some trusted messengers float the story of increasing the stadium capacity. There is never and questioning or follow up on the exciting plans.

Notice how wee , ahem , Scotty and big Andy of the daily Record are at pains not to prolong this latest share issue scheme for theRangers but portray it as an ‘ investment ‘ in the clumpany ? £16 million worth of confetti shares are a lot of elastoplast and bandages to punt to the Ibroxland loyals without a single question of concern from the nodding dog daily Record scoops …once again . It’s Dave King Mark 2 with Cavenagh isn’t it ? Using other people’s money to finance keeping the lights on and standing up !
I remember reading a match report on the Adam Idah cup final by that guy Newport
and he said they had us under the cosh for 88 minutes
lol
Joe.. a load of bollox.. them dirty tramps haven’t a pot to piss in never mind extend Liebox… scumbags can’t even fix their leaking roof, wouldn’t surprise me if that share issue or increase in season book price is to line the American Catholic pockets so he can do a runner…
Editor: I know, they have been spinning the Super-brox for yonks.
The spin their media gimps are putting on yet another share issue is incredible
