When you get replaced by Neil Critchley you should take it as a sign that management isn’t your thing.
After two horrendous tournament failures with Steve Clarke the SFA are testing the water over appointing wee Naisy as Scotland manager. The easy, lazy and cheap option.
There is no warmth from the Tartan Army for the former Hearts boss and more of the same.
Across fans of most clubs in Scotland Naismith is detested. Everything about him. He has only one interest in life which is self promotion.
Management has rejected him.
As a pundit he is up there with James Dishwater McFadden.
He has nothing of interest to add to debate. Sky Sports and the BBC push him as someone credible, audiences say otherwise.

Even the staunchest of bears would struggle to name the nine players signed so far by McInnes.
Lawrence Shankland is the highlight. Followed closely by Young Ross McCrorie and Cammy Devlin.
What could possibly go wrong with recruitment at that level.
McInnes has been in charge at Ibrox for four matches. The Temu Jurgen Klopp is looking for 3-5 more new signings.
So far his side have four goals. Two own goals, a penalty and one from Thelo Aasgaard.
Whoever replaces McInnes will be taking over a squad build by three managers in just over a year.
The only thing that could top McInnes would be seeing Naismith pulling on the brogues of dignity to sit in the home dug out at Ibrox.
Anyone who thinks Naismith can do what Clarke did and get Scotland to 3 finals is aff ther nut, and that includes the SFA.
Clarke might not have been everyones cuppa tea, he might have made mistakes at the finals, but he did what no other has done before him, and in that process delivered Scotland fans some of the most exciting nights of football we have ever seen, the Denmark game probably THE most exciting ever.
I, as a Scotland fan, will be forever thankful to him for doing the job he did during my lifetime.
It is possible to be a lifelong Celtic fan and a Scotland fan regardless of the politics around the SFA and all the other associated shite.

Jeez, McInnes might finally prove useful for one thing – if he gets emptied and replaced with the human-shaped bag of condemned meat calling itself Steven Naismith, it might save us all from having him inflicted on us as national team manager. There is a great example of the “Largs mafia” – that bell-end being in supposed contention for two managerial posts despite no discernible talent, personality or charisma.
