News that Brendan Rodgers is making a one night return to Glasgow has pushed a certain group of Celtic fans to the very brink.
For the Happy Clappers and Thick News groupies there is no greater hate-figure than the most successful domestic manager in the history of the club.
Twice Rodgers has raised aspirations at Celtic only to find his ambitions undermined from within.
On both occasions he resigned after giving in to the internal hostility to turn Celtic into a credible force in European football.
For those devoted to the Celtic Board, the PLC and Balance Sheet Rodgers was a dangerous threat.
The former Liverpool boss wanted Celtic to be the best that they could be. Shocking behaviour.
In each of his two spells Rodgers delivered domestic success while creating a transfer surplus.
RODGERS RAISES THE BAR TO SET NEW CELTIC EXPECTATIONS
Between 2001 and 2016 Celtic never won a treble. Rodgers then deliver seven out of seven domestic trophies while setting Neil Lennon up for five more.
On his own Lennon delivered Celtic’s only trophy-less season of the last decade.

Buying tickets to the ACSOM event is entirely voluntary. It isn’t compulsory, it certainly isn’t on the Home Cup Ticket Scheme.
Priced at £29.50 to £40.50 tickets for the Audience with Rodgers are an absolute bargain.
In contrast Seamus and the lads can buy additional tickets for the Celtic Vigo match at £40. Watching Celtic in action against La Liga opponents a week after the fearful return to Lisbon to face Benfica.
The Happy Clappers are utterly blinded to the multiple failings of the executive heroes.
The Balance Sheet comes before everything. Why? Look what happened to Rangers and we don’t want that to happen do we?
And with that Celtic have fallen from the Round of 16 Champions League Play Off in February 2025 to Europa League also rans. With Kairat Almaty and LASK Linz exposing the failed strategy on the football pitch.

Seamus, Thick News and their ilk are part of the reasons why Celtic is in decline, since they have slavishly supported and enabled the board which has steadily weakened the team in recent years.
They are a cult who, in true cult fashion, never question the leadership and blindly support it regardless of evidence of the damage that has and is being done.

The latest trope on Thick News is that nothing is certain ,certainty apparently being for fools, thus allowing their bizarre take on things to hold sway in spite of all evidence to the contrary
By that token, the notion that the earth is flat and the sun orbits it would be an entirely valid point of view, as would creationism, which places them on the same level as the D.U.P.
