The full clip has emerged of the disgraceful Hearts goal against Celtic permitted by David Dickinson.
In full view of the leading Scottish referee Hearts took a throw in approximately 15 yards forward from where the ball went out the park.
Martin O’Neill highlighted the mistake but Dickinson allowed play to continue, that passage ended with Laurent Mendy putting the ball in the net.
It was a clear breach of the Laws of the Game.
During the summer a number of changes were made to throw-ins. Teams are allowed eight seconds to take them or the throw-in is given to their opponents.
Nothing has changed regarding the position that the ball is thrown back into play.
Even with multi-balls the throw-in has to take place at the point that the ball goes out of play.
Dickinson watched the ball go out near the Celtic dug-out. He then watched a Hearts player lift the nearest ball, throw it into play and continue the game.
@TheCelticWay3 Easy to overlook when you are so far ahead but it’s shocking officiating to allow that to happen.

DICKINSON HAS A LENGTHY CHARE SHEET IN CELTIC MATCHES
Dickinson’s background is well known, none of his family members would have enjoyed watching Celtic batter Hearts.
Celtic scored in the 36th and 38th minutes to go 4-0 up. The stadium was rocking.
It looks like the score-line effected Dickinson. He allowed Hearts to play on despite clearly breaking the Laws of the Game.
Dickinson is one of Scotland’s leading referees. This season he has been in charge of six Premiership matches, the same number as John Beaton.
No Scottish officials were involved in the 2026 World Cup Finals.
@TheCelticWay3 Hearts did this to Dundee last season, they took a free kick 15 yards from the foul and then scored off it, won the game 1-0, another reason I’m glad they were fucked over for the title.

@TheCelticWay3 Good spot , even at Dunipace , 7th tier ,we regularly see a ref telling players to go back about 3 feet .
