Leo Fasan has joined Port Vale on loan.

The 23-year-old has been at Celtic since 2011 when he starred in a Glasgow Cup victory that featured Joe Chalmers, Marcus Fraser, John Herron and Paul George.

Fasan has been the regular goalkeeper in the Development League over the last few seasons but has failed to break through to second choice keeper due to the presence of Lucasz Zaluska, Logan Bailly and Dorus de Vries.

The move to Port Vale cropped up after the League One strugglers picked up an unexpected cheque for £250,000 from Sevco for first choice keeper Jak Alnwick.

Fasan will battle it out with Harry Pickering and Ryan Boot for the goalkeepers jersey in Michael Brown’s side.

Elsewhere a number of younger Celtic players completed loan deals with Jamie McCart moving to Inverness Caley Thistle, Aiden McIlduff going to Queens Park and Broque Watson joining Lowland League club Cumbernauld Colts.
