Dundee United striker David Goodwillie in court appearance

|

Dundee United striker David Goodwillie will appear in court today following an alleged brawl in Glasgow city centre that saw team-mate Danny Swanson hospitalised.

The Scotland u-21 striker has had a troubled time off the park and recently celebrated an own goal by Glenn Loovens by taunting Celtic supporters at Tannadice.

That incident was missed by Dougie Dougie who also missed the foul on Joe Ledley in the build-up to the goal.

Goodwillie was detained by police after the incident at 4am alongwith Dundee United team-mate Scott Allan.

A Strathclyde Police spokesman said: “At around 4am on Wednesday two men aged 23 and 22 were injured following a disturbance in Queen Street, Glasgow.

“Both men were treated for their injuries at Glasgow Royal infirmary and have since been released.

“Four men aged 22, 22, 21 and 18 have been arrested and are detained in police custody.”
