Co-Operative Cup Final referee Craig Thomson will be in charge for Celtic’s SPL trip to Inverness on Saturday.
It’s very unusual for a referee to be in charge of the same club in consecutive games with Thomson going into the Inverness match on the back of a stinging attack from Walter Smith following the Hampden clash between Celtic and Rangers.
Asked about the referee’s u-turn after Nikica Jelavic fell in the penalty box the Rangers boss claimed: “It is dangerous for a referee to do that, very dangerous. If it had been in the other penalty box, I don’t know . . .”
Rangers home match with DundeeUnited will be refereed by Steve Conroy who was banished from the SPL for the first half of the season.
Conroy sent Walter Smith to the stand at Kilmarnock last season during a bad tempered match that saw Pedro Mendes red carded.

Maybe Walter Smith would agree with Scotland using foreign refs then? I doubt it!
Also something that always intrigued me is whether the SFA would ever allow a catholic priest to referee a Celtic or Rangers game?
We have had ministers referee games so what do you reckon!? Would be interesting to know what Myths opinion on that is.
I don’t trust either W Collum or C Thomson they might not be cheats but they,ve not got the backbone to be good referees.
