Craig Thomson will be in charge of Wednesday’s Barcelona-Shakhtar Donetsk Champions League quarter-final.
The match will be the highest profile fixture that he has handled with Barcelona favourites to lift the trophy at Wembley in May.
Thomson should have been in charge of Saturday’s Inverness Caley Thistle v Celtic match on Saturday but postponed the game two hours before kick-off.
Earlier this season Thomson earned praise from UEFA for the way that he handled the crowd trouble at the Italy v Serbia Euro qualifier which he was forced to abondon due to the behaviour of the Serbian supporters.
There will be a full contingent of Scottish officials in the Nou Camp with Francis Andrews and Graham Chambers running the lines, Alan Muir and Calum Murray behind the goals as additional assistant with eagle-eyed Willie Collum the fourth official
