Kenny Dalglish was caught on camera yesterday telling Arsene Wenger to p*** off.
It’s probably one of the few comments from the caretaker Liverpool boss that would meet with approval from Sir Alex Ferguson who would have been delighted by Liverppol’s draw at The Emirates.
An additional 12 minutes of stoppage time brought penalties for both teams with Wenger gutted to drop two points to a goal scored in the 12th additional minute.
Dalglish’s response was picked up clearly by the television cameras but it’s not known if he’ll face a charge of bringing the game into disrepute by the FA.
“I’d rather not repeat what was said,” the former Celt admitted. “I don’t know why a conversation between two managers on the bench is relevant after a game like that. It’s not worth the time of day.”
The Dalglish/Wenger bust up follows on the back of Ally McCoist and Neil Lennon, John Boyle and Craig Brown and Saturday’s confrontation between Rio Ferdinand and Mario Balotelli.
After the match Wenger aimed his anger at referee Andre Marriner for his time keeping.
The Arsenal boss said: “It was a game where Liverpool defended a lot. “I feel hard done by in the end because the time was over by three minutes.
“But you have to take it and you continue to fight. Extra time was eight minutes.
“Lucas played in an intelligent way. He stopped his run and the referee saw penalty but what can you do about it?”
