Celtic kids face South African and South American's today

Paul George Celtic newsCeltic’s u-17 side face a worldwide challenge today against Cape Town Ajax and Brazilian side Fluminense.

The AEGON Futures Cup is hosted by Ajax with Celtic the only British club to be invited to take part.

Miodrag Krivokapic is in charge of a strong Celtic squad with only Marcus Fraser missing due to his involvement with the u-19 side’s potential league decider with Motherwell.

The bulk of the Celtic squad is made up of players from the Scotland u-17 and Victory Shield squad plus Paul George and young Swedish striker William Ankarhake.

Celtic face Cape Town Ajax at 11.30 this morning then Fluminense at 2.30 before meeting hosts Ajax tomorrow at 11.30.

Anderlecht, Bayern Munich, DC United from the USA and the Chinese national side make up the other group.

All of the teams will then go to the Amsterdam ArenA to watch Ajax take on Excelsior in the Dutch league.

On Monday morning the top two teams in each group will play off for a place in the final which starts at 3pm on Monday.

The competition is bound to be a great experience for the Celtic squad who face Rangers in the final of the Glasgow Cup on Monday May 9 at Celtic Park.
