Despite the disappointment of the day the Celtic support were at their very best throughout the 4-0 win over Motherwell.
Off the pitch as well as on it it has been a fantastic season for Celtic with the scene set perfectly for next Saturday’s Scottish Cup final.
Over the last twelve months new heroes have emeraged on the pitch creating memories that will last forever.
In the stands, led by The Green Brigade, the Broonie \o/ and the Lenny <o> have become iconic with the backing of the fans taking on a whole new dimension.
Half of Wembley celebrated doing ‘the Lech Poznan’ yesterday as Manchester City won their first trophy in three decades but the Celtic support put that in the shade today with the ultimate huddle that had even the executive sections up out of their seats.
The bold bobster, Bobby Petta, was up for it as he leapt from his seat capturing the moment on his i-phone before suggesting jealously that things weren’t as lively in his own playing days!
A 6-2 hammering of Rangers, a treble, and 3-1 win away over Ajax should provide the Dutchman with enough memories to live off as well as being part of today’s special huddle.
Reserve goalkeeper Dominic Cervi tweeted: “Greatest support by far! Absolute pleasure to be part of the Celtic Family and will be ready to kick some ass next season #HH!!!
“And I still get goosebumps from the stadium huddle. Amazing.”
Niall McGinn tweeted: “Stadium huddle was brilliant.”
Youth team striker Greig Spence tweeted from Hong Kong: “Just seen vids from celtic park today – wow best fans in the worlds by far hail hail!”
Injured midfielder Joe Ledley added: “Thanks to the Celtic faithful for your support this season. It’s been a pleasure to play for Celtic. I’ll be back ready for next season.”
If Celtic can capture the Scottish Cup by beating Motherwell it promises to be one of the most spectacular celebrations since Henrik Larsson found the net in Boavista eight years ago.

It was Fantastic today Joe. Neil may just have missed out on the title but he has delivered more by Brining Back The THUNDER !
He’ll get his first trophy next week.
I am so proud of the manager, the team and those fans today. We didnae win the league, so what just to be a hoops fan is enough for me!
Lubo’s Feet,
Exactly how I feel.
I cant ever remember hoping that Celtic bring out a DVD of a season where we did not win the league.
This season the Celtic family are as one. Completely bonded by the brave leadership of our management team and credit also to our board for finally standing up for our club and exposing the laughing stock that is the SFA.
One Neil Lennon.
PS. Great site Joe, always a good angle on our club. Keep it up.
