Robbie Keane is believed to be in Los Angeles weighing up a move to MSL side LA Galaxy.
It’s believed that Spurs have agreed a £3m transfer fee with the MSL side with Keane’s wages likely to be in line with his current Spurs deal.
Fifteen months after ending his loan spell at Celtic the Ireland captain is looking into joining up with David Beckham after realising that his top level Premiership career is virtually finished.
After experiencing West Ham’s relegation from the Premiership last season the main interest in Keane has come from Leicester and Blackburn prompting his decision to look elsewhere.
In January Beckham trained with Keane at Spurs and it’s believed that is when the 31-year-old first gave serious thought to moving to the MSL.
Since scoring a career best 23 goals in season 2007/2008 and earning a move to Liverpool Keane’s club career has been in decline although he has remainined Ireland’s leading goal threat scoring his 51st and 52nd goals at the end of last season in Macedonia.
During his club career Keane has played for Wolves, Coventry, Inter Milan, Leeds United, Spurs, Liverpool, Celtic and West Ham.

Aren’t you only allowed to apply the designated player tag on one player in your team, as they have with Beckham, meaning that Keane will have to join with a wage that does not put the team over the league wage cap
You are allowed three designated (well paid) players.
Galaxy have Beckham, Landon Donavan and Juan Pablo Angel (ex Aston Villa) at present, Angel seems likely to move on if Keane signs.
