Biram Kayal Celtic newsScott Brown and Biram Kayal will have scans on their injured ankles before Neil Lennon selects his side to face Dundee United on Saturday.

Both players picked up knocks on international duty last night leaving Neil Lennon to sweat over their availability for the first home match of the season.

Speaking to channel 67 the Celtic boss said: “Biram came off at half-time with an ankle injury so he’s going to have a scan when he get’s back in the country. We’re hoping that it’s just precautionary but he’s still a bit tender from the tackle last night.

“Everything will depend on what the scan shows but he was quite confident that he’ll be OK.

“Paddy McCourt will hopefully come back full of the joys of spring after his goals and James Forrest got another cap as well.

“We’ve got players players that were left behind like Mulgrew, Wilson, Hooper and Maloney who’ll all feature in the squad as well as the international players returning.

“We’ll be looking for a clean bill of health but if that’s not the case we’ve got the squad to cope with it.
