Gary Hooper brushed aside speculation about his future by beating team-mate Kris Commons on the gold course.
The Celtic duo left the wind and rain of the international break behind to take their golf clubs off to Marbella.
While Hooper was cleaning up on the golf course Commons was keeping his 11,000 twitter followers upto date with events on and off the fairways.
As the dynamic duo suspiciously checked in at Glasgow Airport on transfer deadline day Commons reassuringly tweeted: “ Last training session done and now off to marbs (Marbella). Strapin hoops to my luggage and his phone is stayin off until the window is shut!!! 😉 .
Onto the fairways Commons was off to a flier adding: “Perfect weather conditions and 2 up thru 3!!!!
Later on the mood had changed as he tweeted: “For all that’s interested hoops won the golf over 36 holes but I know I’ve got him 2moro!!!! Lol can’t beat sun golf and twitter Hahaha.”
Engaging in the spirit of twitter where a RT or retweet is a badge of honour the Celtic midfielder was in good form as he bantered (copyrite Greig Spence) with the fans.
“Am I the only person not getting a retweet from @kcommons15?,” Commons retweeted while another follower added: “Waiting for someone to ask @kcommons15 for a retweet and him to reply and say “Naw, you canny get a retweet” which was retweeted.
After a further exchange of messages Commons admitted: “Just a thought…..12:10p.m and in peurto banus on my phone! Wot am I doin?? Good bye twitter.”
