Morten Rasmussen Sivasspor newsMorten Rasmussen threw his goalkeeping gloves aside to score the winning goal for Sivasspor against Ankaragücü on Thursday night.

The on loan Dane was used as an emergency goalkeeper in the 4-0 home defeat by Eski?ehirspor but found the net in the 77th minute away to Ankaragücü to give his new club their first win of the season.

This afternoon Rasmussen will be looking to stay out of the nets as Sivasspor host Bursaspor.

Jos Hooiveld’s Southampton continue to set the pace at the top of the Championship with the Dutchman an automatic pick in defence. An 80th minute equaliser from Morgan Schneiderlin at Burnley kept the newly promoted side at the top of the table.

Daryl Murphy had to settle for a five minute substitutes appearance as Ipswich frustrated Middlesbrough with a 0-0 draw at the Riverside Stadium denying Tony Mowbray’s side a return to top spot.

On Friday night Darren O’Dea was in the Leeds team that drew 3-3 at Brighton. After leading 2-0 at half time it took an injury time equaliser from Ross McCormack to earn the Yorkshire side a point.

Niall McGinn was in the Brentford side that won 2-0 away to Oldham despite being down to ten men for the last 26 minutes.

In the SPL Richie Towell was involved in a high scoring draw for the second week running as Hibs drew 3-3 at home to Dundee United while Greig Spence was in the Hamilton team that won 1-0 away to Dundee to remain second in Division One two points behind leaders Morton.

Neither Rasmussen or Hooiveld looked much good in the Hoops but their opportunities were limited. Hopefully, Neil is keeping an eye on them because he may need them later in the season. If Hooiveld plays well in the Championship it would make him at least on a par with K Wilson. And the Turkish league is of a higher standard than the Swedish!
