Twitter Celtic NewsCeltic u-17 midfielder Tim Mjallby, son of Johan, has joined the growing band of players on twitter.

After just one night on the popular social network Mjallby Jnr had picked up almost 200 followers as his team-mates at u-17 and u-19 level mentioned the new bhoy on line.

U-19 striker Tony Watt was quick off the mark to mention Tim’s addition to the twitter Celts, with some Swedish tweets he’s bound to leave most of his team-mates bamboozled although his dad is likely to be keeping an eye on anything that appears online.

The young Celts seem a sensible bunch online steering clear of anything controversial and concentrating on ‘the banter’, PS3, X-Factor and FIFA 2012 which is a computer/consul game for older surfers and not a coaching qualification.

Striker Denny Johnstone of the Celtic u-17 squad recently joined twitter with Gareth Bale lookalike Jack Kirwin on line for a few months. Paul McLellan seems to be lagging behind his team-mates in terms of followers.

Moving up a level it sounds like the college lecturer attempting to instill some cooking skills into a class containing Watt, Darnell Fisher, Joe Chalmers and Marcus Fraser has a tough task with the young footballers kitchen skills leaving a lot to be desired.

New signings Omar Bogle and Rhys Murell-Williamson are also regulars on twitter although the club’s coaching staff have so far resisted the temptation to follow Neil Lennon on board twitter.

Saturday’s u-19 match with St Mirren has been postponed ahead of the Next Gen Series match away to Manchester City a week today.
