Neil Lennon smilesNeil Lennon has refused to be drawn into a war of words with Rangers boss Ally McCoist.

The Ibrox chief was furious at the decision of the SFA Fast Track panel to uphold Sone Aluko’s two match ban for diving.

Using his clubs’ official website McCoist slammed the Fast Track panel and raised other incidents in which no action was taken.

“It seems to me there are rules for some and rules for others,” the Rangers boss claimed.

“There is a complete lack of continuity and consistency.

“I can remember off the top of my head someone having a fly kick at our keeper last season. I can also remember a Motherwell player getting elbowed but nothing has been done about any of them.”

It has been suggested that those two incidents involved Celtic players but with McCoist refusing to name names Lennon sidestepped the issue

“I didn’t see his comments but if he has made inference to my players then it is not the right thing to do,” the November manager of the month explained.

Football Fancast news“I could sit here and pore over contentious decisions to my players between now and Christmas.

“I have not seen his comments and I don’t want to get drawn into tit-for-tat but if you want to talk about contentious issues against my team, you will be here all day.”

Joe Ledley, Kris Commons and Adam Matthews miss today’s match against Hearts through injury but Scott Brown and Charlie Mulgrew could be in contention for a starting place.

Kelvin Wilson could also be in line for a place on the bench after coming through Wednesday’s development team match against Hibs without any set back.

why was there no disciplinary action taken for the samaras elbow on the motherwell player?

Look for every incident involving a Celtic player there are double that for some Rangers players. Lafferty had his head in a Falkirk players head at head height earlier in the season and got away with it. I was looking for the photograph of it on the web last night but could not find it to double check who it was against but I think it was Falkirk. What about Bougherra man handling an Official twice in one game and getting off scot free, when an East Stirling player did it this season he got a 6 match ban. So come on Baxterboy answer these discrepancies which were all in favour of Rangers for us. As Neil Lennon says we sit here all day rattling off decisions that have went for Rangers and against Celtic. Plus you are also forgetting that the cheating Aluko got you a penalty that won you the game that day, so Ally wants the 3 points and his player to get off with it. Get a grip.

Anyway, I thought there was no agenda at the SFA, its all in our heads, we’re paranoid, these things even themselves out over a season etc etc etc. One decision goes against Rangers and Ally’s greet’in about it.

What elbow incident involving Samaras and Motherwell? Your making things up now, getting confused with all the paranoia and hysteria sweeping the Rangers support. I understand it’s a shock to Rangers they may actually have to take some responsibility for their actions like every other club, but really it’s for the best, no more tainted titles to be ashamed of for a start.

Hi Baxterboy, are you trolling or just not very bright?

Probably both isnt it? Perhaps you could show us this video footage of Samaras elbowing a Motherwell player? Thought not…..

The hordes were up in arms (hoho) about a supposed elbow from Hooper on a Motherwell defender (shown to be absolute rubbish) and Samaras allegedly diving in Inverness (contact was made by a defender who kept his eyes on the man as opposed to the ball) – is it just that your brain can’t handle two separate matters and has blended them into one to try and make it easier to understand?

Naismith getting away with trying to do that Aberdeen player….there was a case for video evidence.

    Have a nice day.

I see by headlines on Web pages of Dailly Retard,Scottish Hun Scotsman all trying to draw Lenny into Sleaket Sally remarks, then when you read them Lenny just says no thanks your not getting me,all he says is what he said on TV sports reports, this is usual trash

  • Mark says:

as expected, the papers are doing everything they can to bring lennon into this, they want another bust up. as you rightly say, lennon is completely avoiding the issue, yet papers like:
THE SCOTSMAN -“lennon angry with mccoist”,
THE SCOTTISH HERALD – “lennon far from pleased with mccoist”,
BBC SPORT – “lennon disputes mccoist interference”.

    1. Mccoist hasnt even suggested lennon’s team in actual words in his rant, he could be talking about anyone in the incidents he talks about before he suggests motherwell players. the papers just thought they’d make that up.
    2. Lennon is only saying if what the PAPERS are saying is true then it is wrong for him to do that.

What a farce, how does scotland expect to get over it’s problems in society when the media are just fueling the problems whenever they get the chance.

December is here, the showdown approaches and out come the same old Media tricks – the t.rusty old Punch and Judy show is in action once again to polarise public ‘opinion’ making Lenny and Co. the aggressors while Sneaky McCoist and Chums ride the crest of favourable public ‘opinion’ back safely onto the shores of the good old Brite-ish Empire.
