Former Celt Derek Riordan played for Blackpool yesterday in a behind closed doors friendly against Bolton.
The 29-year-old spent an eventful two seasons under Gordon Strachan either side of two very productive spells with Hibs.
Last summer Riordan quit Scotland for Chinese side Shaanxi Chan-Ba but lasted only six months before returning home.
Kilmarnock boss Kenny Shiels has already had Riordan training with the Ayrshire side but the player is believed to be keen to try his luck in England.
In his two seasons at Celtic Riordan scored 8 goals plus a penalty in the Champions League shoot-out win over Spartak Moscow.

“Deek” always had a complaint at Celtic about not getting a chance, whever I saw him I never saw anything that he did that warranted giving him that chance, infact he was given a chance, a start against Gretna at Celtic Park and after doing heehaw for about 60mins he was hooked, went down the tunnel in a huff.
I have no doubts about his ability but gue questionmarks against his attitude. At his age now I doubt that will change. Good luck to him, maybe some club will be prepared to carry him and accept his occasional moments of brilliance, maybe USA would suit him better than the UK.
