Ally McCoist Rangers newsRangers came from a goal down to draw with Aberdeen at Ibrox today to cut Celtic’s lead at the top of the table down to four points.

Kari Arnason, the 29-year-old Icelandic ace, gave the visitors the lead in the 63rd minute but Maurice Edu equalised four minutes later.

Rangers remain unbeaten at home in the SPL but have been held to a draw by Hearts, St Mirren, St Johnstone and now Aberdee.

Former Rangers skipper Davie Weir made an emotional farewell to the home supporters at half time with speculation rife that Nikica Jelavic was playing his last game today.

West Ham United and QPR are both reportedly keen on the Croatian striker but are unlikely to meet the £10m asking price from Rangers.

Earlier today Celtic won 2-0 at St Mirren with goals from James Forrest and Scott Brown extending the clubs winning run to 12 SPL matches in a row.

After the match hoops boss Neil Lennon said: “In terms of the run we’ve been on that was our toughest game.

“Credit to St Mirren and obviously conditions played a huge part in the game as well but I’m thrilled with the win and thrilled with the clean sheet. It was a huge win in the context of the season.”

Celtic were only two points above Rangers going into todays game so why do you make out that Rangers are better than what they are by saying they cut celtics lead to four points? It should have read Celtic INCREASE their lead to 4 points!!!!

Class headline, that’s what the media will be reporting. All the Scottish media’s attempts to unsettle our players by trying to say they are leaving has not worked. Sally must be crying his little heart out.

  • stephen clarke says:

You never know maybe they will be able to cut the gap to 3 points if they can manage a draw against a Hibs side that’s flying just now lol
