Craig Whyte Rangers tax caseCraig Whyte has laughed at his SFA fine and ban and accused the football authority of picking on Rangers.

The Ibrox owner was banned from Scottish football for life last night and hit with a £200,000 fine for various rule breaches including failure to disclose that he had once served a seven year ban from being a company director.

Whyte remains the deal-maker for any change of ownership at Ibrox but refuses to acknowledge the authority of the SFA.

“I don’t care what the SFA do to me but what they have done to Rangers is absolutely shocking,” the man that put the club into administration told The Sun.

“I might not be Mr Popular with the Rangers fans at the moment but the support will not forget the SFA for what they have done.

“To put a transfer embargo on the club is ridiculous. They are kicking the club when it is down.

“I will not be paying this fine. I won’t be paying a penny. The SFA are a farce and the judicial panel are a farce. The whole thing has been absolutely absurd from start to finish.”

“It is a joke. The SFA and their judgements make no difference to my life. It is Rangers and the fans they are hurting not me. I couldn’t care less and good luck collecting the money.”

The former Motherwell billionaire added: “I met with Stewart Regan and Campbell Ogilvie at a hotel last year and I bought them dinner.

“I was told by them that they were here to help and not to worry about it. They have obviously not helped.

“Rangers fans know where the SFA are coming from. They should be helping Scotland’s biggest club not kicking it when it is down.”

I think you mean Scotlands smallest club don’t you? No other club in Scotland carries this amount of debt, thus, smallest club with least actual assets.

As for Campbell Ogilvie saying over dinner that they were there to help you, thanks for the admission. Once again, it was proven that these clowns are being bought.
