Former Celts Kevin McBride and Rocco Quinn were sent off for fighting with each other in Ross County’s 3-0 win over Dundee today.
Both players were regulars in the youth sides under Willie McStay without managing to break through into Martin O’Neill’s teams.
Today’s match was County’s first home game since clinching promotion with second placed Dundee hardly in the mood to party.
Ross County raced into a 3-0 lead just after the hour mark with Dundee United bound Michael Gardyne scoring twice for the home side.
With ten minutes left to play McBride and Quinn squared upto each other and were red carded by referee John McKendrick.
As well as McBride and Quinn there were six other former Celts in the game with Paul Lawson of the home side facing Rab Douglas, Gary Irvine, Ryan Conroy and Nicky Riley.

The brilliant part of this is if these had been ex-huns the papers would be declaring how much passion had been instilled into them in their days at ibroke. But instead, no doubt there will be major negativity in the reports since they were actually team mates in the hoops.
What have Rangers got to do with this? I hardly think the papers will be bothered that 2 former Celtic Youths got sent off.
Maybe thats where we differ.
now now. It got your attention. Anything that’ll distract the injured from the pain they’re going through, I think is the point.
