Kenny Dalglish Liverpool NewsKenny Dalglish finally lost his patience with Liverpool last night as they crashed to a 1-0 home defeat from Fulham, a result that went against all the odds in the best sports books.

On the back of a convincing 3-0 win away to Norwich City on Saturday Dalglish made nine changes to his side but was left despairing after an own goal from Martin Skrtel left the home side pointless with just five home wins all season.

Dalglish admitted: “I have to take part of the blame because I wanted to give everyone a chance to push their case.

“But the performance and attitude were very poor and that’s not like us. That’s where it went wrong.

“We can’t play at that tempo, we have to play higher. One or two did well but apart from that it wasn’t a good night for us.

“A lot of people have to take responsibility for that. I am culpable too, because giving people an opportunity to put themselves in the frame for Saturday was a contributory factor.

“If you go into games with a bad attitude you’ll get nothing — and that’s what we got.”

Former Dundee United and Blackburn midfielder Billy McKinlay was in charge of Fulham with Martin Jol absent due to a chest infection.

I have strong feelings to believe that Dalglish might walk if Liverpool lose to Chelsea in the FA Cup final this weekend.

Amongst all the hype about Kenny I think it sad that many (including Celtic supporters) either forget or have no memory of his playing abilities.

I wouldn’t argue with Jinky being the greatest Celt ever but Kenny Dal is the most complete player ever to have worn the hoops.

He would win games by himself, his work ethic was unreal, he could score from anywhere.

And like Henrik when he moved to a better team he became even better.

Kenny is the best British born player I have seen & whilst I’d agree he doesn’t help himself media wise I’d argue he shouldn’t have to.

When they cross that white line….the players MUST take most of the responsibility

Could be a bad season for Liverpool if they only win the 2 domestic cups…..but really their league form has been abysmal. Needing a clear out I think….ok I’d take Gerrard for Kayal 🙂
