In a desparate bid to win favour with Rangers supporters Charles Green has claimed that Celtic have a more complicated corporate structure than his Sevco club!
While Rangers (In Administration) retain SFA membership Sevco have been given conditional membership of the SFA and will face Brechin City in the tie of the round in the Ramsdens Cup.
Next week Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs will appoint BDO to liquidate Rangers (In Administration) after the failure of Green’s attempt at securing a CVA.
Sevco bought the assets of Rangers for just £5.5m but BDO have the authority to examine that deal and may declare in null and void if they feel that it wasn’t in the best interests of the Rangers creditors.
Despite the mountain of issues that he has to deal with Green believes that Celtic’s corporate structure- one that produces audited accounts twice a year and an Annual General Meeting- are more complex than Sevco’s.
With season ticket sales almost non-existent at Sevco Green turned his anger onto Celtic claiming: “I think everyone knows that it’s Rangers that are playing at Ibrox whether its owned by company A or company B.
“Our main rivals – or our former main rivals – across the city they have had three different companies in their lifespan.
“In fact if you look at their corporate structure now it’s more complicated than Rangers’ is.
“So it’s not about an individual or a corporate company with a registration number. This is Rangers and will always be Rangers.”
The fact that Green is in effect saying that the same club is still in business could prove to be an incredible own goal once BDO get to work.

You seem pretty sure about that. Did you come to this conclusion using logic and knowledge? Or is it just your dangerously over-inflated sense of entitlement getting the better of you again?
You may have your friends in high places in Scotland, but I doubt if their influence is worth much in HMRC.
Thanks appropriately named person. I can only pass on the facts as we know them. HMRC have publicly stated that BDO have been appointed to do forensic accounting with a view prosecuting the Directors of Rangers if they are found to have acted illegaly, it is not an investigation into the conduct of Duff & Phelps or the transfer of assets.
This is pure invention on your part. Further they have also stated that their actions will not interfere with the continuation of football at Ibrox under newco Rangers. Which would be an odd statement to make if they had any intention to oppose the transfer and sell off the bits to someone else at some point in the future

“This is pure invention on your part”. I think you’ll find that most of the inventing is coming from Green and McCoist. Charlie’s yet to make a single statement that’s turned out to be factual. And McCoist’s acting like an irresponsible rabble rouser who long ago decided that the truth is of no use to him.
Personally, my main focus of interest has always been the EBTs. I think it’s really important to the future of Scottish football that any cheating is established and exposed to the world. If the oldco cheated, they must lose the tainted titles. I dont care if the titles become void, but the record books must show that Rangers lost them for cheating. Also, following the BDO investigation, we might be lucky, and Sir Minty will lose his tainted title as well. (Although in my opinion, all such titles are tainted anyway).
It seems to me that Charlie’s in an interesting position. He needs your faithful Orcs to believe that Sevco are in fact Rangers, but by claiming to be a continuation of the Oldco, he could bring down the wrath of HMRC and FIFA upon himself and destroy Sevco. Even in Scotland, he might find it difficult to have it both ways: to claim the oldcos history but sidestep its debts and punishment for cheating. (if proven).
It seems to me that by trying to have his cake and eat it, Charlie has already dug himself down into the 3rd division, so I don’t understand why you have so much faith in his judgement.

You can only play with the cards you are dealt and, with the mountain of difficulties facing Rangers at the time he took over, to still be able to field a team and play at Ibrox next year is a fair result. Every reason to expect European football in 5yrs if not sooner. RFC now worth considerably more than ~£5million he paid a few weeks ago.
There may or may not(?) be further financial repercussions for the SPL teams over the next 12 months, but Rangers will be relatively immune to this in the SFL.
Been most impressed with his handling of the “Wantaway players”, think he has managed to get something from nothing on this. Good Job IMO.

I always knew the man was senile the day he bought a dying club in the first place but this just confirms it. See, the difference is you old coot, we were never LIQUIDATED, any club can change company, So many clubs HAVE over the decades. The difference is, Sevco aren’t Rangers. This is a brand new club, Rangers FC are dead. In its place are imposters dressing up as a former bigoted club, playing in the same stadium.
